Day 1 – Arrival

Day 2 – Central Istra – Medieval tour
Fully day trip visiting most fascinating cities of Central Istra. Lunch in traditional restaurant in Groznjan. Motovun- In the northern part of Istria, overlooking the Mirna River valley, lies surely the most famous and attractive Istrian medieval town of Motovun. This captivating hilltop town is one of the characteristic symbols of the Istrian interior. Groznjan - Grožnjan, a small Istrian town of great cultural significance not only in Croatia but also internationally, lives its summer months very intensely. Every year at the beginning of May, the little streets and squares of Grožnjan metamorphose and turn into a truly artistic beehive. Visiting Dvigrad castle near Kanfanar. Svetvinčenat - The medieval town of Svetvinčenat, situated in the southern part of central Istria, is one of those Istrian jewels that has been discovered only recently. It offers a variety of tourist offer such as events taking place at extremely attractive historical sites of this town.

Day 3 – Trsat castle and Grobnik castle (Rijeka)
After breakfast bus drive from Opatija to Rijeka and Rijeka surroundings visiting 2 castles.
Trsat Castle (Gradina Trsat in Croatia) has been standing on Trsat to guard the city since the 13th century. The castle was built on the ruins of ancient Illyrian and Roman castles and originally owned by the most eminent noble family of the region at that time - the Frankopan family came from neighboring Krk Island. Grobnik Castle has been designed in a form of triangle, belted by walls, strengthened by towers and semi-towers, and additionally protected with another belt of walls. Fortifications were mainly constructed in a period from the 15th to 17th century.

Day 4 – Drivenik castle and fortress Nehaj (Senj)
After breakfast in hotel full day excursion to Drivenik castle near Crikvenica and fortress Nehaj in Senj. Drivenik Castle is a castle in the hinterland of Crikvenica and Novi Vinodolski, in the northern part of the Adriatic coast, western Croatia. Lunch in local restaurant in Senj before visiting Fortress Nehaj. It was erected in 1558 when the Turks and Venice were at the peak of their power. In those bitter times Senj with its inhabitants resisted numerous attacks of the enemy trying to seize control over the town.
After guided tour in fortress drive to hotel in Opatija on dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – Opatija – Dubovac castle(Karlovac) - Zagreb
After breakfast in hotel bus transfer in direction Zagreb with short stop in Karlovac visiting Dubovac castle. This castle overlooks the Croatian city Karlovac. Square tower was probably built during the 13 th century. In 15 th century the castle is rebuilt in renaissance manner.

Day 6. – Zagreb – city sightseeing
Free time in Zagreb till evening hours. After dinner interestering night tour of the Upper town (Gornji grad) – Secrets of Grič. The tour of the Upper town in the late evening hours is for all those visitors and citizens of Zagreb wishing to discover the historic and mysterious side of the capital. The tour is based on historic facts, on parts of a novel by Marija Jurić Zagorka, and on urban legends. It is also unique, as it takes place in the evening, with costumed guides and characters that interactively depict historic events from the city’s past.

Day 7. – Trakoscan castle
After breakfast another excursion in direction of Trakošćan castle. It is the biggest and most celebrated Croatian castle that was built during the 13 th century and which represents one of the best examples of European feudal fortification systems. Today, Trakošćan is transformed into a museum which offers a unique opportunity to discover its and Croatian rich history. In the afternoon arrival in hotel in Zagreb, dinner and overnight
